My politics are my own.

Edited on 01//30/08: Well John Edwards has gone and dropped out of the race. I already voted so I can't undo my choice. Oh well.

I was responding to Siren's post and I got cranked so I switched to my blog. I'm going to start this with: If you don't agree with my politics that's okay don't bash me because I won't go to your blog and bash you.

I'm a Democrat tried and true. I have always voted in the the Democratic primary, even when everyone I knew didn't. I stick with what I believe in and that is not simple, because politics is shades of gray not black and white. I vote pro-choice, health-care, and realistically about the war in Iraq. I NEVER voted for our sitting President and always knew we would regret having him in office. I actually had someone treat me like I was unamerican during the last election because I did'nt support Bush. BULLSHIT. What the fuck were people thinking when they put this man back in office?!

I want us out of Iraq and never supported starting the war but now that we're there we can't just walk away. "Here's the mess we made, now it's all yours." We have to stay until it is stablized or we will have failed the people we stupidly were told we had to save. We have made things worse now it is OUR JOB to ELECT somone who will take that seriously and work to make things better. WE also need to ELECT somone who gives a shit about this country and will put the programs in place to protect OUR people. OUR citizens should never have to suffer again because our federal emergency services can't get their act together.

I VOTED absentee ballot already. Personally, I voted for JOHN EDWARDS. (my mother would pass out because she supports Hillary Clinton) Suprised take a look again. Bill Clinton came from behind to win. Never count out your choice and don't get complacent if yours in the lead. VOTE!!! If you don't I don't want to here you complain.

Oooh, I like the idea of a National Centrist Party. Actually, I like the idea of NO parties. I wish politicians had to stand on their own merits, one by one, and we actually had to think about who would really do what rather than all those who just vote along party lines. I guess I'll always be a GDI.

I like the idea of a group in the middle too. I really tend to walk the line between the two, but those candidates are hard to find.

I've only met two who fall the way the first was George Wallace Jr. Yes, our former Governor's son is really more in the middle. I personally have spoken with him and was very impressed. The other Rep. Bud Cramer he is a "yellow dog democrat."
