I was surprised by it too, but it is pretty close. I'm not sure I see the world through rose colored glasses though. I've seen enough of the real world to know how bad it can be. I just believe we can change things.
Once you have been face to face with someone who could murder their husband without blinking an eye you don't see the world that way anymore.
