Two years ago I bought a luxury house playhut for my kids, at that time I wrote about it http://underfootallthetime.blogspot.com/2006/01/giant-playhut.html. Since then we've used it a few times in the house, but it's so huge it has been hard to store. You're supposed to be able to fold it up into a circle and store it in a bag. I have contorted myself in ten different directions, unsuccessfully, trying to do this so up until now it has sat flat in my garage.
Yesterday, I decided to bring it in and set it up. I must be a glutton for punishment because I became obessesed with the idea of folding it into the circle. I went online and printed out the instructions that I have managed to lose and still couldn't do it. My husband was just sitting there laughing at my antics. The more I tried the worse it got until....... suddenly it folded. Then when I got the bag it goes in I realized it didn't fit. It was the wrong one. cuss words followed. After finding a substitute bag I quickly put it up. Job done. Yeeha!
Then this morning my daughter asked me to set it up again. (cringing) Okay, I set it up. Tonight I will try the impossible again. Hopefully, I will survive.
BTW I updated up through the trees. http://upthroughthetrees.blogspot.com
Tell me what you think of the new look.

You know the designers of those things are laughing when the make up those directions. I congratulate you on your success at folding it up at least one time!
I have one of those car shades that folds up like that. Practice makes perfect. You'll have the move down in no time.
Oh - and it probably does fit in the case, but you have to do the trick right!
Well I have succeeded in taking it down twice. Woohoo.
Biscuit: yes, I do believe the designers get a kick out those directions.
Siren: think of your shade being three times bigger when its flat. It takes my whole body to fold the thing up, I am getting better at it though. We actually have a small one that folds the same way. It's easy.
Lol ... I could just visualize it as I was reading. The girls used to have one of those and it was a bitch to put away.
It's all in the twist, Baby, and you know you got that!
