Last week I had lost two pounds, but then we went to my MIL's over the weekend and I ate like a piglet and gained it back.
I am now banging my head against a wall.
I'm back to eating better though. I'm thinking about trying something different this time though. I'm debating between buying the volumetrics book or the rice diet. I'm not a fad diet kind of person, but I really want to get this weight off sometime soon, and the old way ain't workin.

Look at the Zone diet. I dropped 30 pounds painlessly when I did that and cut out bread and sugar. It took 6 months to lose it, but after the first 3 days, I was over the cravings for sugar and it got to be very easy. I jump started it by eating nothing but brown rice and steamed vegetables for the first couple of days. And I pigged out on them so that I was never hungry.
You can do it!!!
I'm trying the "I'm not on a diet" diet. I am just counting my servings of lean dairy, fruits, vegetables and whole grains, making sure I eat enough of the right stuff, and then not worrying too much about what else I eat. It seemed like I was eating too much crap during the move, so I wanted to get back to eating nutritionally. I just sort of noticed that my pants were getting loose. I weighed mysrlf to see, and lo and behold I have lost about 10 pounds. And besides, I just feel better when I eat this way.
biscuit: Thanks for the suggestion. I'll check it out.
Siren: right now I'm doing pretty much the same thing except my results haven't been as good as yours. Way to go!
I have lost one and half pounds since I got back home so that is good.
You could join the army! I dropped 10 pounds in Basic! I put it back on in AIT, though. We had a really nice DFAC. :-{
