I found out recently that people with ADHD typically have sleep disorders. I personally was diagnosed with sleep apnea back in the spring, but have since had my tonsils out, and have seen improvement. Then I started waking up at 3am and couldn't go back to sleep. My mind would literally kick into gear and I would start thinking about all sorts of stuff. Since starting my meds and anti-depressants that has subsided too. I sleep all night except when I get a pair of feet in my face compliments of my three year old. It is amazing how much better I feel.
The only issue I'm experiencing is that I still tend to zone out in the middle of the day. My Dr. thinks it's the generic drug so I'm switching to the name brand version of it when I run out. I always get pretty stressed during the holidays and have managed to keep it in check this year. I'm sure that is being helped by my being medicated. Isn't it sad that I have to take drugs to keep me from screaming and running out of the house.
Well I'm headed south for Christmas. How many of you guys will be hitting the road? We're going to the MIL's and I'm sure we'll have a good time. My husbands brothers and sister-in-law will be there too. The kids love their aunt. They just hang all over her.

Wouldn't it be nice if they could make a ring or patch for the ADHD meds, so they could stay at a constant level?
We went to the Country Music Hall of Fame this weekend, and I was totally getting what you said stimulation overload on the exhibits.
I should wear blinders...
A ritalin patch is awaiting FDA apporval.
I get that at large places or busy events. For some reason it didn't happen at Disney World. I'm not sure why.
